Investing in your future is super important
Hey there kids, I'm Kevin and I'm 19 years old. If you've clicked because of my title above, I'm assuming that you know what it feels like to have NO friends. Plus, it seems as if often times people portray having no friends as a bad thing, so much so that it becomes an insult. You're reading this thinking to yourself that life would probably be better if you had some friends to hang out with. But, like all things in life some people are just not social butterflies, so if you want that to change go out and get some friends! Otherwise, consider these positives: In this post I am going to explain to you today why it isn't that bad and how you can use this to your advantage. So let's begin:
What is not having friends like anyways? Some people might have had friends when they were younger but because of moving, changing locations, or going to a different school, they lost contact with those friends. Another reason for not having any friends may include fear of friendships in general, distrust of others, or not being in a very friendly environment. Ex. living in a busy area of the city such as downtown, going to a commuter college, town, or working many hours during the week.
1. You have much more time to work on yourself.
When you don't have any friends, it's not like you get calls from other people asking you to come hang out or crash at their place. Because you don't have any friends, you're not bound to social relationships and it becomes much more easier for you to read self-development books, learn new skills, and invest your time into understanding yourself. Of course, as a young person you have more time than older people so that is the best time for you to learn all of the self-development courses and dive into those topics!
2. More money in your pocket to invest for your future.
Just like before, you have more time which is something that we will never get back. So make sure you are using your time wisely! IF you're reading this you're pretty much already on the right track to succeed. All you have to do is keep at a hard working pace and unlike those around you who appear to be on social media having a blast, you can actually beat them in the long term. While they'll probably end up old and still having to work, you could be retired or simply not "working" in a traditional sense because you actually enjoy your occupation. So again, not having a girlfriend or a boyfriend before the age of 25 should be a no brainer here.
3. Learning to have fun on your own terms.
Of course, you can't just work all of the time. Sure, it's fun for me to work on music and write these blog posts for all of you guys and girls but there is a time that you have to remember you're human. Your body gets tired physically, spiritually, and mentally. Learning to unwind and enjoy your time away from reaching towards your goals is super important for your health, and you're not always going to be young; Why not treat yourself every now and then? Here's the big problem you'll notice though is that you don't know anyone you can do this with. It's probably because no one taught you how to grow friendships, or because you're just simply not a people person! Either way, when you're alone this gives you time to enjoy what you're watching, reading, or doing much more personally! You can even start reviewing your enjoyment... What's that? You're too shy to be in front of a camera?
4. When you do actually make a friend, they will also share your values.
So what I was referring to in the previous one was that if you enjoy products or services and decide to review them because it could help others, you might think that you're not good enough for other people and thus you never actually step outside of your comfort zone and talk. But that's not okay, because you can't just live your life like this forever. This is why I'm posting this list because I want you to come outside of your comfort zone and make friends with quality individuals. That's right, people who share your values and ideas whatever they may be. This is why not having friends AT THE MOMENT is good, because you can start fresh with people who also want to be successful, and have your morals.
5. Makes having a girlfriend or boyfriend a lot smoother.
Yes, you may not have a boyfriend or a girlfriend because you have anxiety and have trouble communicating with the opposite sex. Another reason why this is really such a great characteristic to have is because when you actually do get with your first close one, it makes the process more smoother. You wouldn't be bringing any baggage into a relationship which is a great thing but your partner should also respect you for that and you should hold them to great standards.
