Not only will you learn how to talk to people and get what you want out of life, but you'll actually start to see the benefits! Perhaps you're tired of people bullying you, not taking you serious, or you just don't want to constantly have anxiety around humans. I get that. You'll have to be the one who makes the sacrifice, so if you're willing click "read more" !
The real reason that we are seeing massive changes to the online world is simply because of technology. Smart phones play a huge role in this and they have allowed many YouTubers, Musicians, Bloggers, etc, earn a living by simply showcasing their talents up online. Just thinking about it, we might be at a point in history where a good majority of rappers are young, whereas twenty years ago you actually had to spend years pursuing acting gigs, shows, and network within the industry to get recognition!
So that leaves us with a question? Are you willing to change and better yourself for this highly competitive world, or do you want to spend the rest of your life watching other people grow, adapt, and ultimately reap the rewards of learning? The choice is up to you... And before you go, I just want to let you take the time to think of how your life is right now. Do you enjoy yourself? It's alright to not say yes, because I don't.
I'm not in a good position in life at the moment. But years later from now I will be because I've made the mental decision to want to better myself and change everything about me drastically so that I can be exceptional at life. You see, social anxiety is a symptom of shyness as you all know and it manifest in many forms. Get this; You'll freeze up when talking to someone, you're considered to be "closed off" or look angry because of your body language, maybe you even think that you're FA or Forever alone because you are very inexperienced with the opposite sex.
I know many of these things bother you, even if you don't want to admit it. I've been through all of these symptoms plenty of times because when I was younger I got bullied in middle school. A lot of people have also treated me like shit when I worked in customer service, restaurants, and retail jobs. Not just the customers either like you'd think, but many of my co-workers also hated on me. You see, a common re-occuring theme for people with social anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorder and other mental disorders is that they can't get along with people.
But what you don't realize is that once you begin to see the needs of others with your lenses and help them out, that's when you'll begin to lose your anxiety. I had been in some really crappy and messed up situations in life: I almost died in a car crash, homeowner flashed their gun when they opened the door, three men jumped me on the side of the street, grown ass delivery driver threatened to beat me up at work.
These are all situations that I could have honestly had leveraged towards my control better had I been more aware of my surroundings. Sure, a lot of it was out of my control and yes I know that I'm not the only one that this has happened to but still, there were ways of getting better at communication to better myself after that happened. When people are around me or close to me for a bit of time, they tend to put up defensive barriers and also subconsciously, their bodies seem to want to fight me for whatever reason and I think this has to do with my depressive past.
I'm not going to stop all the haters from attacking me, but I can lessen the impact and brighten the communication gap between the two of us. So to wrap things up, if you could get better at verbal and non-verbal communication with someone, you could easily improve your social skills. Not everything has to do with how you think, or the words you say. I am 100% sure that the only way to do this quickly is to take a face-to-face sales job. Think car parking lots, fresh air, and being outside in the sun all day.
Not used car salesman, or telemarking jobs. But a real job, where you can sell great products, help people, and become a better version of yourself. I know some of you hate customer service, or the thought of walking up to strangers and getting them to buy stuff they don't need. Yet, that isn't even what a good salesman does. A good salesman, like many other groups, makes up only a small percentage of total representatives of an industry. That is because most people aren't willing to change themselves.
What's actually pretty cool is that you don't have to settle for less if you really don't want to. You're probably still reading this because you're interesting in improving yourself and you have a need to get better. You should probably read this book that people highly recommend called "What Everybody is Saying by Joe Navarro" it's written by an FBI Agent who studies people and due to being force for several years. You can actually get the book on Amazon below!
