What's sup everybody, today we're going to be taking a look at the new Huawei Y9 2019 phone and this is going to be my seasoned review of this smartphone! I remember when it was freshman year. Few smartphones at that time were of high caliber without costing you as the consumer at least $550. Nowadays though for half the price, you get a versatile gadget machine with a neat AI Camera that blows Samsung or Apple out the water when it comes to price!
Using the Y9 in Everyday Life
So whether you're an Instagram enthusiast or need a practical smartphone because your old phone is a drag, the Huawei Y9 is probably my recommendation to you, friends. Well, do you use this phone for work? I would answer yes to that because occasionally we run side hustles, such as Postmates. As a Postmates Courrier, the Huawei Y9 runs the Fleet App so smooth and pristine and I've had zero complaints for it's interface!
Getting started was super easy! Huawei will just ask you to import your phone's data using Phone Clone, which works with "Android or iOS" The first thing to do is to import all your contacts and information as well as be prepared to download all necessary apps from your previous phone. You also need a Huawei ID which can be created using only your phone number and/or email address.
For whatever reason, Huawei ID is not available at the moment for the United States, which is a bummer because Huawei ID is necessary to use many of the default apps such as Music which come pre-installed with your Huawei device. It is available for any other country though, so be sure to create your Huawei ID when you first turn it on.
Does Huawei Connect to T-Mobile?
Yes! Huawei is specifically made for all GSM carriers and can connect with virtually any network. I do have 4G on my phone, so that's awesome! A side note though: the Y9 comes with 3 SIM slots so you can add different carriers if you're down with that lol but more benefits include the ability to upgrade your GB with SIM cards.
Another great feature comes when you turn on Power Saving Mode or use battery optimization --- This feature allows you to quickly disrupt any inconveniences on the battery and will even turn off mobile data for you to quickly save your power. (But just remember to turn it on once you go outside, as this happened to me once while I was out doing a delivery for Postmates! yikes.)
Huawei Y9: 4000 MaH
Battery is amazing! Took it out of the box like new and it still has 56% battery since yesterday, although I will say I had it turned off for a while too. Huawei clocks in at 4,000 MAh which definitely allows fluidity for CPU intensive apps which require your location and display. One of the elements I disliked about the Huawei Y9 is the Android system! Uninstalling the default apps are kind of a pain because default apps can drag on your phone's battery!
Compatibility with Apps
As I'm writing this right now, Weebly is working on my Huawei Y9 which means that its great that Weebly App is supported on here. Another fantastic feature is the keyboard, which you may enjoy it like that. For just one-fourth of the price of a new iPhone or Android, I'm not sure why anyone would opt for the most expensive phones unless you really have to. Essentially, the Huawei Y9 does everything for less and packs the same punch as a Galaxy S9 or iPhone X.
