Go out there and grind. Easier said than done.
1. Figure out ways to look more attractive
2. Be more decisive
By knowing exactly what you want and where you are headed to, it is a lot easier to take control of life and be the master of your own destiny. It might sound like a load of cheesy B.S. but it's true.
3. Watch YouTube Videos
I know this one sounds counter-productive because of the "passive" feel to it, but the truth is that your education is an extremely valuable asset that can generate you the highest returns over other investments.
Everyone knows YouTube videos are fun for watching entertainment purposes, but a lot of channels and videos could drastically increase your chances of "success" in life that is if you defined success as doing what you want to do.
4. Read More Books!
Books not only boost your confidence but improve your insight, knowledge, and can give you years of lessons from experienced mentors all without having to travel, spend, or hunt them down! And I know this applies to anybody because no matter what your industry is or what you want to major in, chances are someone has written a book on that topic.
Similar to the YouTube tip, this is the fastest way to invest in your education without breaking the bank. While taking courses can add up your costs fast, so do other bad actors such as seminars (expensive and sometimes scammy) college education (too much money involved with bad returns) and subscription services such as Skillshare can be bad if your time committed is small.
A great website that I personally love and has helped me pick up classics for an INSANE low price is called Thriftbooks.com. Not only have I gotten like 5 books for literally less than $20, they also provide you a wide selection of books to which you can search through.
5. Invest Wisely
A big way to make your work pay off later is to invest your money wisely. While it may take decades to accumulate life changing returns, it can completely change your outlook in life and provide you a comfortable cushion when you retire. Again, It may be a long way until you see livable money, but it's definitely worth it!
So you might be asking, well how do I invest money or what should I invest in? The answer to this question is difficult, because there are SO many investment vehicles you can park your money into. Every person who accumulated wealth started off small.
Me personally, I like to use robo-advisers, since they are very easy to use and you don't have to know a lot of information about the stock market or even watch your investments. You can watch your money grow with each contribution you make! Now, of course, robo-advisers are based on the stock market meaning you can definitely lose money when the markets are down.
One of these robo-advisers I like to use is Betterment. With Betterment, you can invest wisely by opening any kind of account (IRA, Roth, SEP, Taxable, and even savings) Also, signing up with my link will give you thirty days managed free. Other than that Betterment is literally going to cost you 25 cents for every $100.
